Bal Bharati Public School, Navi Mumbai, was founded by the Child Education Society (Regd.), Delhi, which is the apex body of all Bal Bharati schools and other institutions.
The Navi Mumbai unit is a co-educational, day-scholar, English Medium School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was initially located at C.B.D. Belapur, Navi Mumbai, in a rented premises and started on Sept. 1, 2000 with Pre-Nursery and Nursery classes. In the year 2004, the school shifted to its present campus that is centrally located at Sector 4, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
The growth in physical terms of the school building structure occurred over a 13-year period. In the year of movement to Kharghar, the school had less than a dozen classrooms in the present Block C. Blocks B and D were added in the next four years. Block A came up during 2008-2010 with science labs and admin sections. A modern Auditorium with the state-of-art facility came up in the year 2016-17. The school now has about 70 classrooms, eight labs, a library, a toddler's pool, a developed ground and a multi purpose cement ground for various activities. The interior decoration and outdoor planning have been done by experts in the respective fields, keeping in mind the latest trends in educational infrastructure and regulations.
If the physical, structural growth is stupendous, the growth in student enrolment over the same period has been phenomenal. In the year 2000, the school started with less than a score of students. Today, Bal Bharati Public School, Navi Mumbai, has classes from Pre-Primary I to class XII and imparts quality education to 2600+ children with teaching staff of about 90. At the Senior Secondary level, the school offers the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. In the year 2009-2010, the first batch of Class X students graduated. This was followed by the graduation of the first batch of Class XII students in the year 2011-2012.
